-The Review-

Maki San was where I ended up at 7:30PM on a Sunday night because there just aren’t many salad options at that time. I was surprisingly very satisfied with my bowl. It was refreshingly clean, exactly what I’d anticipate from a Japanese food chain.

You can choose to have a bowl only filled with protein

At Maki San, you can customize your bowl to be entirely filled with protein options without any extra charge. Choose from a variety of “essentials” like Ebi, Grilled Chicken, Tuna Mayo, Tofu, Boiled Egg, Tamagoyaki, Tobiko, or even Anchovies to create a protein-packed meal tailored to your taste.

The portions may seem small but they do add up

While the portions at Maki San might initially appear modest, they do accumulate to a satisfying amount. As a maki and sushi establishment, the portion sizes are akin to what you’d find in a maki roll. However, my bowl ended up weighing around 300 grams, proving that these portions do indeed add up.

  • 90g Mixed Lettuce
  • 20g Asparagus
  • 30g Grilled Chicken Strips
  • 25g Roasted Shimeji Mushrooms
  • 20g Shredded Carrot
  • 30g Shredded Cucumber
  • 3g Bonito Fish Flakes
  • 25g Roasted Striploin (Beef)
  • 55g Miso Sauce
